    Lake Powell Tips anyone??

Hey - Big 7 day trip to Lake Powell coming up starting on the 12th of Sept with a group of 4 couples leaving out of Bullfrog with hopes of making it as far as Rainbow Bridge.

So first question is do you have any don't miss cool spots that we can be looking for? If you happen to have Lat and Lon that would be really great.

Second question. Because of the distance from Helena to Bullfrog were not bringing a boat with We are hauling a single jet ski for alternate transportation, but I'm still wondering about other options for rentals. Not so much for riding behind, but for covering more shoreline and for fuel savings!

Any thoughts and advice would be great. We'll be certain to blend a batch of cool refreshment in your honor

Our favorite place to camp is at Knowles Canyon. It is up the lake (the opposite direction to Rainbow Bridge.) From Knowles you can go down to Forgotten Canyon and hike to some restored Indian Ruins. You can keep going up the lake to Good Hope Bay, where the water is almost always glass any time of the day! You can search for some of my posts for Pics. You are going to love it and September is one of the best months to be there! Of course, you have to see Moki Canyon or I wouldn't have chosen that screen name!

There are boat rentals at Bull Frog. In my humble opinion, You will definitely want to rent a boat for at least one of the days for the trip down to rainbow bridge. Are you staying at the Lodge there at Bull Frog?

We've rented a 53' house boat from Bullfrog. So will be generally heading "down" towards page for 2 or 3 days before heading back. One of the couples will have to leave early so that should give us a chance to check things out in the other direction.

We've gone out with this crew before and have a great time. Last trip was to Suswap lake in central BC. Not as big as Powell but still had about 1200 miles of shoreline. Biggest difference - we'll not be seeing as many trees this time!
