RESALE of TIGEs

Hey All,

Firstly, I am looking pruchasing a new 22v, anyone have any negative comments on the boat.

Secondly, what is the resale value like of the TIGE BOATS in general?

just sold my 97' 22i for $21k. bought it brand new out the door for $25k.

brother had a 95' 2002 fslm, paid $19k new sold it for $18k 6 years and 500hr later.

I had a '93 2002fslm for 11 years. I paid 18,900, and traded it in for 15k. That's 800+ motor hours, and 132 months of great boating. Net cost - 4k. I hope my '04 lasts as long and well, and I'll never have a car with resale value like that!.

I suggest garaging the boat year 'round, washing down really well every time you get back from the lake. Every 30 - 50 hours have an oil change, and make sure you change the impeller annually. Clean the upholstery with water and elbow grease. Always protect the vinyl with 303 protectant. Make sure you vacuum the carpet to get out any sand that could grind the fibers. I also suggest a light coat of Protect all on the fiberglass for a continuously great look.

If you take your boat in for service, clean out all of the compartments, the service crew will appreciate not having to climb over your inner tubes, fenders and life jackets. Take the shop staff treats when they do a good service, and get to know the staff at your dealership well. They are usually really good people, and they will always help those who help them.

From what I have seen, Tiges have about the best resale value for two reasons. First, the new price is not over inflated like MC or Naut. Second, Tige builds a great quality boat that is equal to , or better than the competition. I bought my '98 21i for $19,000 4 years ago and I could sell it today for $20,000 - $23,000 in the condition it is in and with the low hours. It sold new for $29,000 7 years ago!
