I live up in the middle of nowhere in southwest Oklahoma. I am not here by choice but this is where I have to be for the next few years because of the military. The lake closest to me is a lake that farmers use for irrigation. It has now been drained below 30 percent full and I have nowhere to go nearby. Does anyone no anything about Lake Arrowhead in Witchita Falls, TX or anywhere good around Oklahoma City. Help me I do not want to be putting my boat up in mid August. Thanks.

Arrowhead has some great duck hunting on it.
If you are going to get away for a weekend come down to Possum Kimgdom south of Graham, TX. The '09 photo shoot for the website was done on it. As pretty as you are going to find and we have plenty of H2O this year. Big Boats, Big Cliffs, Big LakeFat, Drunk, and Stupid is no way to go thru life.

Not much in OKC, They have Draper "Raper" lake, fairly small but probably the best which is not saying much. Lake Thunderbird "Dirtybird". It is one step up from swimming in mud, and last and certainly least is Lake Arcadia, was cautioned against swimming in two years ago due to high E.Coli counts. plus you have to pay about 15 dollars just to get in to see the lake, very crowded and choppy.
There has to be something in Texas that is better, Lake texoma would be a good choiceThe worst day of boating is still the better than the best day of work......, unless you bend your prop.
