Should TIGE put louder horns in the boats??

    For Safety Purposes??

I know my horn is very quiet, I do not think anyone outside of the boat can hear it, because we can hardly hear it in the boat.

Could be the Jammin' Stereo, but seriously what are your guys thoughts?

No. The horn is a waste unless you put a serious train style horn in it. To actually be useful, it is going to have to be loud enough to overcome another boat's engine, wind and water noise. It is the same problem with stereos. That is why our stereos have to be so loud. I think we only have horns at all to satisfy the powers that be.
    Be excellent to one another.

I changed mine out the second year I had the boat. The little beep beep sounded like it should have been on a Yugo.
I got a horn hat hit nicely into the spot the other one was, it has more base and produces 150db’s
Tige, it's a way of life!

I use an air horn. I had a sherriff give me grief on the stock horn. His argument was that I wouldn't have a horn if the battery was dead.
Indecision may or may not be my problem

I use small handheld horn that makes huge noise and keep next to the helm. $10 at West Marine.

I have an air horn I can fill with a compressor. It wails pretty well if it's kept full. The horn in the boat is always gonna suck. It has to shoot out in 360 degrees and overcome 2 boats engine noise for someone else to hear it. The air horn is directional, obnoxious and proven to get the other drivers attention. Skip the in boat horn.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

              Well said Jason.
I wouldn't even think about going out without a portable air horn.
