That's great news. I hope Anthony and the boys over at Sportboats NW are taking good care of you.

Great to hear that and yet another reason why this family is so excellent indeed!

Glad to hear. Lee's really good to work w/. I've dealt w/ him before on other stuff... not just this recent grenaded motor of mine.

It's depressing that Tige and MP had to part, as they've always had a reliable motor, but their customer service is whats awesome. I understand the business side of the decision, but it still sucks!
Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

Yes Majestic, Anthony at SPNW has gone to bat for me recently. At first I think he was looking for the easy Plug and Play new motor for $11k, but after talking to Lee at MP, he dug further and was able to work out a more sensible deal.

end result is bent valve that caused cylinder #7 to seize up. All in all with 100 hour service will be around $2700. Sucks but considering where I started, I am ok with it.

Lee at MP and Anthony at Sport Boat NW took care of me. I should have my boat back by Thursday which makes me happy!

I am a bit nervous however once I get it back. Should I still surf with it? Going to take a while for me to trust it.

You need to do a break in period before you start surfing IMO. It's probably not an competely new engine but I would still break the engine in slowly.

You are seeing why we like our Tige's.

Rock on cause surfing didnt cause it only one thing causes a bent valve, and that is interference with the piston. On that motor, it's damn near impossible with that low of a compression ratio, even with flat tops, that thing either had to drop a valve (lost keepers, broke spring or valve stem broke) or that puppy tuned 10K and floated (still kinda impossible with ECM controlled rev limiter).

Glad it's on it's way to being fixed, but it seems that the root cause is still out there.
