Went for our first ride and experienced the wall of water over the bow (2001 21i), got that figured out. When we were done for the day one of the front bow cushions was soggy and dripping water as well as the back storage hatch/deck that you cross over to get to the platf. Is there a way to seal the seams on the vinyl or is this just part of boat ownership? They dried out eventually but just curious if there is a fix or if this is just something we deal with?

You can avoid water over the bow with some smart driving. First, if you've dropped a rider and need to turn around to get them, back off the throttle and just as your boat is about to drop off of plane, turn the wheel all the way to one side and let your wake pass you by. If you do it right, your wake will actually assist you in your 180. Then just idle over to your rider. This avoids unnecessary power turns and keeps the water smoother.
If you come across someone elses wake, gently power up enough to cause the bow to rise while you plow through the waves and then back off. Takes a little practice, but you'll get the hang of it. But, sometimes it just can't be helped.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

A friend of mine uses this

He had problems with it sitting at his dock. Now he drops this in the middle of the boat and snugs the cover down tight. The cover keeps the animals, insects and leaves out, and the dehumidifier dries everything out in a day or two. He says the humidifier is full of water when hes finished.

I'm not sure how much water you took on, but I've never experienced a dripping seat. By you staying dripping I'm imagining that the inner foam was soggy. This sounds like there is a hole or slice in your vinyl letting water get into the cushion portion of the seat. If we take on water, usually we try to soak up as much as we can with a towel, so it doesn't get a chance to seep into the seats and carpet.
My back seat usually sees a lot of water from people getting in and out of the boat. I usually wrap it with a towel, that helps soak up the water first.
