    Carbon Monoxide Safety

There has been a couple of deaths recently due to CO, which is a tragedy. One of my main goals when I started wake9.com was to deal with carbon monoxide safety, and the misconceptions people have about carbon monoxide and wakesurfing. I still get people that will take my kids aside and tell them they shouldn't wakesurf, and should talk to their dad because you can die from wakesurfing due to carbon monoxide poisoning.

I truly hope this helps keep people safe, and bust some of the myths.

I am not embedding the video here, because this page also has valuable resources to read.

    Fantastic information!

Thanks for putting yourself in harms way for our collective safety.

Y, no kidding. That wasn't very fun, but I really wanted to end the comparison of wakesurfing to teak surfing once and for all. It was like putting your lips on a tail pipe.

I'd be careful where you post that, you might get a ticket after the fact.

Great video. I know this isnt necessarily your focus of the video, but since you have the FAE installed, any idea how the co levels were at idle around the back of the boat?

                  Nice work.

I would be interested in seeing the readings from boats with a catalytic converter, and with the turn down exhaust tips to see how they compare.

Also the sideswipe from Centurion would be interesting to test as well.

I thought about that, but I don't think they would. If they did, oh well, I still think it was important to try to end the whole teak surfing and wakesurfing comparison.

If you are NOT in gear, the FAE has NO effect. It is JUST as bad as without. It only has an effect when in gear, then the exhaust is pushed behind the boat in the prop wash. At idle, with FAE or not, exhaust goes in the same place.

Thanks, if you guys don't mind, if you like the video, go to youtube and rate it. I have someone, I am pretty sure who it is, but would rather not say, that is going to all of my videos on YT and rating a 1 out of spite. Someone on wakeworld. So it would help me a lot, if you like any of the videos, to rate them. Thanks in advance.

Great video! I do love my FAE and I think I will use my air monitor from work to check the levels of my boat just for the heck of it.
