    Swim Platform Ladder

Today, I was in MC dealer looking at WB ropes,etc... and we got to talking about boats. I mentioned that I would like to see a retractable under platform ladder to them. They said MC actually has and they had it on a boat out back. I took a look at it. It is pretty nice. The locking mechanism is nice and it tucks up out of the way barely oticebale. I think it is made by challengerhardware.com for MC. Has anyone else seen this on a mastercraft? If so, do you think it would fit on a TIGE as we have a slight angle whereas the MC are straight across the back. It would be nice to have these on the boat to allow us to take people who may not have the arm strength to get back on the boat (ie. grandparents etc...)

The one I saw today was different. It tucked in tighter under the swim platform, all polished stainless steel, and had 3-4 rungs, which would be easier to climb up. I think I was quoted around 368.00 for it. The shop I was at was bout an hour away otherwise, I would go snap a pic and post it.

            Ok I don’t get it.
I am 6 foot 280lbs and I can get up with no problem.
bMy swim deck sits at the water line. With me on it about 2 inches below the water line. Our boats are not like I/O where the sit about 10 inches above the water line, so why would you need this?

I have one on my RZ4 and had one on the old 21i with the teak platform.( step made by aqua performance. http://www.aquaperformance.com/)
Heres a pic with the RZ4. You can kinda see it.

                at least 2 reasons,
                1. Had a rider tear his bicep muscle this past weekend, a ladder could make it easier to get them back in the boat?
                2. If you want to take out grandparents to watch the grandkids, they may want to go for a swim but not have enough arm strength to get back up on the swim platform.

call your local mastercraft dealer and see if they have one on a boat. If they do, take a pic and post.

Took out our "neighborhood" grandparents last week. While they got in the boat a ladder would've made it easier.

The rep from challengerhardware.com gave me a quick reply and I am hoping the attached pics work. Notice the flat mounting plate in the 3rd pics. You have to drill through your swim platform in 4 places, but all you see is the almost flush stainless plate. I will post pics if I decide to put on my boat.

Ok I guess we never think about what if .
In the case of an accident, I can see it being very helpful.

As far, a g- parents in the boat, that would be in-laws for me and I try to keep her out.

First, as a big fat guy, I can appreciate the idea of a ladder. But as a primarily wakesurfing boat, I would be very careful attaching anything under your deck, it could destroy your wave. In the center like I see on the RZ 4, it may not be so bad, but my guess is that that pointed deck with the lip underneath is already going to make a tough wave. The cool thing about wakesurfing is that your deck is about 1 ft underwater. You can just roll onto the deck.

This is us with both bags filled, testing with wakeboarding. You can see that deck needs NO ladder.

Here it is with only 1 bag partially filled. No problem getting in.
