When looking at this I like the look the vinyl dash gives but the functionality of it down the road might not be so good. As sun wears on it and things are set up on it I see this being a part of the boat that starts to look a little ratty. I kinda of wish they would have left that Gel-Coated like the 24V are then it can be polished and maintained. Just something I thought about when cleaning up my dash the other day. Not that the vinyl is bad and only time will tell what it all will end up like just an observation.

I've never had a problem with my snap-in carpet that's in the walkway stinking like some others of you have reported and it's gotten plenty wet. Snap-in carpet, IMHO, would be better because I could remove it and powerspray it to get out some of the sand that we tend to get in the boat despite my best efforts to keep it out.

The other option I'd want is a non-carpeted bow area. The carpet in the bow storage are is going to get wet for a variety of reasons and there's not really a good solution for draining water out of there or allowing it to dry when it does.
One thing I noticed MC did was put some floor drains in so when the take water over the bow the water starts to drain into the bilge. And in the nose of the boat they also built is to try and contain the water to the drains. Just a small refinement. We have to remember TIGE is a growing business and has not been around as long as MC and BU. I am sure they also have to be careful of copy rights and patents and that all plays into the design I am sure.

Hey ragboy, it looks like the Supra VISION system has more of the stuff you were looking for: http://wakeworld.com/getarticle.asp?articleid=2406

"While there are several other dashboard color displays on the market, the VISION is the only system available that integrates ballast monitoring and control; speed-based automatic Smart Plate control; Zero Off GPS cruise; full GPS chart plotting with depth contours; a true iPod interface with a dedicated multimedia page; automatic speed-based stereo volume control; full engine diagnostics with code descriptions; dedicated day- and night-mode viewing; and much, much more."

Only if it can be updated. That is the thing that kills me with these. People make these amazing smart screens/touch screens and then they are stagnant. You should be able to download updates from a support site, put on a flash drive and update software to fix bugs, update ipod control if something becomes incompatible, etc. But I like the direction, I know its going to get there.

Okay Tige, when are you going to put the 2010 boats online????

The left column is still not functioning and I want to design my new 2010 Tige. But again, I don't need another boat.

Is that a transition from red into an orange or just the flash?? That would be way cool if they could do that.

I think the only things that the tige system doesn't do is the speed based volume control (I really don't want this), and the diagnostic codes (who knows... it may do this though).
                      Everything else, it does.

And yes Da. it fades. Although their flash almost even has the tower looking kind of chromish...lol.

Karen - you forgot to put the "dot" in the dotcom ...I fixed it in my quote if anyone wants to watch...the Tige bit is about 1/2 second at around the 1:17 mark.

It looks like the boat almost has a fading red to orange pattern. Now that would seem to be incredibly hard to do, but very cool if that is not an illusion in the photo.

Looks like everyone is going to have one of these screens. I am surprised that no one has tried to appeal to those of us who think it is going to seriously devalue the boat when you can't get software updates or hardware replacements in 5 years. I am starting to sound like an old man: 'darnfangled computers!' Resisting the future, I guess.
