Sorry, these are untuned photos and we're catching the late season cali smoke out. Light was a bit flat. I suspect that is the deal with the aforementioned head wrap.

What was particularly cool was that after Rusty stuck this 1080 and Froggy was already out on the water, Rusty comes trotting past me and over to his family maybe 40 clear feet away. Basically right next to us. Really a nice moment. I snapped a bunch of pics but, after looking at them, they are almost too personal to post. I don't know, just seemed like that moment was his and I wouldn't want to just post it out on the web without his blessing. It's rare to see a look on somebody's face like he had. Far out.

The whole place was pumped. I never didn't hear who won but, if Rusty didn't it's a crime. He rode really hard. He didn't stand 'em both up but, he laid it down.

Dude! I have to drive by this place daily. Boooooo. It's alright. I'm a grumpy bastard anyways.

Maybe you should just make it up here in Sept. for the Air Races.

Head wrap was for sun protection. It was cool but the UV number was 10 that day.

Harley won from what I understand.

The air races might be a little hard to pull off. The weekend Sparky wants to meet is a kid weekend for me but I have been talking with my wife about it and there is a chance.

It's been a couple years huh? I was only there for Pro Men Finals. Had a major Honey Do mid day so I was only at the comp for two beers.

BEER!! Where was the beer? I missed that part, probably a good thing, i was there most of the day. I would have bought alot of things I don't need.

Thank you and same too you. It's great to see that your son is motivated with wakeboarding and that is what the sport needs. We are planning to return next year and attend the event if they have it so I will let you know. ;ro:

The trip back was great. The one lane road going back over the summit was actually 2 lanes so it wasn't stop and go traffic. You should be okay heading up to Donner.

We talked to Chris Bischoff on sunday and he said it looks like they will be back next year but not sure yet because it is year to year right now. He also said that this year was bigger than last year.

The boy want's to go to a camp now, so I need to research that.

Probably wasn't a good idea to watch a Pro Wakeboarding Event with him... Tomorrow he might want the world.

There was a great turn out for the event and every year will get bigger and bigger. That is good to know and I hope they keep it there. That venue is great and the water was glass even though there was some wind.
