I was driving...

I just remember seeing him, the guy in purple, in the mirror one second, and gone the next. Not five seconds before he went in, I was joking with the spotter in the boat about him falling in.

Maybe I subliminally pushed him???

We all had a good laugh until the reality of what could have happened set in.

It looked like the nose of the board almost got him in the face. It is amazing how many people I see sitting on the sunpad like that while a person is surfing. That is a costly ticket from the sheriff if you get snapped.

I saw him going in and tried to turn, but if you go through it frame-by-frame, his hand actually hits the tip of the board. Also, if you look at that board, its got a pointy tip instead of the square tip alot of boards have these days.

I got stopped by the Sheriff this past week at Prineville Reservoir for people sitting on the gunnels. He let us go with a verbal warning,, reminding us that it was a $240.00 per person fine!
