    Replacement for 21v Tower

    Hello everyone. I have a 99 21V with the factory metcraft tower. I have been looking to change to a better looking tower and was wondering if anyone has changed their tower out from the stock piece. I looked at a new dimension tower but Im not sure that it will be a direct bolt on, and I really dont want to do gel work if I can get out of it. I know the monster tower will fit but i really dont like the looks of it.

    If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

    I dont know if you are interested, but I too have a 99 21V that I just got and it has NO tower. I would be interested in buying your old tower if you find a replacement. Let me know what you think.

        Sampson. I don't have any personal experience with them but, it sounds as though looks are an important factor for you as they were for me when it came time to dump the old Metcrap. Many trusted owners on this site have Sampsons on their boats and love them and the service they have recieved. I wouldn't be too concerned with this thread, http://tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10709 considering the speaker set he has on it. Plus it's the first negative thing I've ever heard about them. I'm sure they will get it worked out. I mean, going from the Metcrap to anything that is currently out on the market will be a major improvement. Replacing it makes such a huge improvement in enjoying a day on your boat, it will be worth whatever you spend.

        I don't really care for the look of the Monster (although the Monster 2 is a definite improvement) but, they have many satisfied customers on this site.

        In case you're wondering about mine, don't bother. They have been out of business for years.

        Something to consider is the options you can get and their price. Swivel racks are really nice IMO. Bimini is a must but, they can always be fabricated by a good canvas shop. They are not cheep. A good tower mounted mirror is also really nice to have. Speakers are another. I think I'm going to take mine off my tower. We usually have a couple of toddlers with us these days and I just don't need to play my music loud enough to hear while riding. Yeah, so. Maybe I am getting old. Shut up.

        The gelcoat issue isn't bad with a bit of creativity. I installed some pop up cleats over the old holes and it worked like a champ. Completely covered the old holes and I don't have to struggle with those stupid mushroom cleats under the side of the windshield.

          I almost hate to post this but, those old towers are dangerous. Anybody with one should replace it.

              I send that guy a PM. I REALLY like that tower!

              Yea the metcraft is pretty dangerous. I have a set of pro80s and 3 boards on it and it will move back and forth a foot or so in high chop.

              I will call sampson.
