Any other 06's with this problem

I'm having what the dealer is telling me is throttle issues. What is happening is when you start the boat and put it in gear and go everything is fine. When you stop or back off the throttle like to get a down wakeboarder you have to turn the boat off and restart it cuz it wont let you increase the rpm"s. It's in gear andwill go at an idle but thats it. I was told that the throttles on 06"s had a voltage problem and if they flucuate past their certain limits thats what happens. It was rewired at the dealer(2 hours labor= $220) but I was told this might fix the problem for an hour to ?????. They also said I would have to bring it back for a new throttle because thats ultimately the problem. I jus havent heard of anyone else with this problem and wanted to see how common it is. The throttles arent cheap($385 plus an hour of labor). Anyone else out there with this problem????

If the boat had dual batteries it had to be rewired, if they are saying that now the pps sensor is bad on your shifter you dont have to replace the shifter, only the sensor, part # RA119004 its aprox. 60.00, plus labor, about 1 hour.

My '07 just started doing this. Twice on our last trip out. Same symptoms and only fix was shut off and re-start it.
Please keep us posted on the fix.

My 07 24ve is having the same problem. For the most part it tends to get worse in the afternoon when it is hot. I changed the batteries, which did not help. My dealer has assured me that it is the trottle assembly and we are waiting on the (back ordered) part. Part is covered under warranty, labor is not.
Evidently this is a somewhat common problem. I am hoping it will take care of the issue.

Yep, I'm having the same problem with my '07. Between reading this thread and zany's, sounds like a bad design to me. My dealer is 3 hours away, so I will probably live through it the rest of the season, then tow it up there. What a PIA!!

I thought tige’s came with a three year warranty.
                I know my 2004 did.

They did, so the 06 models will be dropping out of warranty, depending on when you took delivery, as they hit the showrooms in 9/05.
