Support for extended pylon (98 2200V)

So my 98 2200V has one of those extendable center pylons. Any issues using it? Seems like it would need a support cable or something hanging off the front. Anybody have one and use it? Do I need a cable or something?

are you looking to use the pylon for skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, surfing or another purpose???

Hydrofoiling and wakeskating only. The tube goes on the monster mount on back

the hydrofoiling i would probably go from the tower, thats the only way ive ever known and wakeskating i have never done or towed so i wouldnt know but if i had to guess i would say tower also??

My friend has an 05 Malibu Wakesetter XTI so it also has a center pylon that extends and it didnt have any extra support or anything.

When i decided i was buying a tow boat i also tried out a 2002 2100v and it had an extendable pilon in the back and yes it had two cables that came out and connected to the top of the gunwhales, i would not use it without that.

Did they extend out at angles or did they just go straight to the point up front?
