    First surf outing.

Well i have wanted to try it for a while now and finally got my chance. I used a surf board from a friend and with out a single pound of ballast and four people in the rear corner it was a sucess. My friend had no problems letting go of the rope and riding as long as he wanted. It was my first time and was able to ride for a little bit with out the rope, i am hooked and planning on getting a surf board and a sac here shortly, what are some recomondations for a good surf board.

Island Surfer Blue Lake. All the beginners in my boat have gotten up first try.

I have no probelms getting up, just looking for something that keeps me going with out a rope, i am 185 pounds, what is a good size or does it depend on board shape and brand?

Blue lake would work, Walker project Comp X 5.0 would also be good. Bullet 5.0 would work, how do you like to surf? Cruise or Shred? Is the board for a lot of people or just you?

Currently i am just riding but obviously i am just getting used to it, the board i rode was a liquid force custom something and i was able ride it a little, he has an old fat sack we are going to try tonight hopefully, air is 85 and there is no breeze in the air.

The bullet is a really fun boatd, fast and responsive. It will be tougher, squirlier to ride at first, but it will grow with you well.

I don't have a page on my site for that board yet, but we do sell if you need one. I can check if I can get a demo in your area. Not sure in MN.

Okoboji is about 45 minutes away from me and they have dealerships for all the major tow boats, if you set something up let me know.

Contact me through wake9.com, either the contact page or my email, and I will see if Walker has something in that area.

Being a first year surfer, I have had a pretty tough time learning on the LF Thruster. I've had several friends who are normally very athletic and weren't able to ride at all or very poorly. I can't recommend a good board to start but I CAN recommend you don't start with the Thruster.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
