    Laughlin, NV

I'm heading to Laughlin, NV this weekend for my buddies B-day.

Anyone have suggestions or tips on where to go or not go for wakeboarding? Nightlife?

I've never been to Laughlin so just trying to get a sense of what it's like there.

I like the food at the Bell. ( ok I’m easy )
For boating I would stay off the river and go Lake Mojave like svlperry said.
Just go north pass the river side hotel and make a right over the bridge. At the end of the bridge you will make a left ( if you need gas you will have to make a right, as there are no gas station until you get to the dock) You are now in Bullhead Arizona. the road will start curving to the right as it goes up the hill. just after the curve there is a small street on your left.( this street will take you to David Dam and Katherine’s landing ) flow the street to Katherine’s Landing ( about 2 miles off the main road.).
Once on the lake, I like the water to the Left ( south by the dam), but I know that a lot of people go to the right ( the lake is 72 miles long and gets very wide about 15 miles north of the dock). Have fun and watch the shore. The with of the lake can change fast and I have seen people hit large rocks close to shore.

As far as night life goes, Bullhead is a little more wild the Laughlin.

If you ever go back, I like the parking that the bell has for boats, It a cross the street from the hotel with the employees. There is 24 hour armed security and you park just behind the security office (lol) they have a shuttle back to the hotel.

this pic is of lake Mojave at sunset by the power wire crossing.
