I have been having intermitant electrical problems but have not been on the boat in 5 weeks. Under the dash in the cobweb of wires are a few sets of 14-16 guage black and white wires connected to black and white 20-22 guage wires with the blue wire crimp connectors. Does anyone know what these are for?

I'm looking at the wiring diagram. Is the black lead daisy chained? I see black lead daisy chained from bilge, blower courtesy lights, acc etc. Its no 14 on the drawing. The schematic has no wire sizes smaller than 14. I do not see any white leads but do see gray. Is it comming from a harness? Are any of the conductors/wires labeled or marked. I'm looking at the following drawings: UNIFORCE TECHNOLOGIES Drwng No.36398,
Uniforce Technologies Drwng No 37072, and Uniforce Technologies Drwng no. 36398. Can you look under the dash and see what position on the terminal block these are landed. That would help a lot.

I have not seen my boat in 5 weeks. I went under the dash and was looking at the wiring before I left in june. All of the guages and swithces had 14-16 guage wires. There is no labels on any of them and I could not follow the thin wires as they get lost in the harness. I started cutting the zip ties but then had to go. The wires looked black and white but then again it was dark with a small flashlite. I do not know where the thicker wires were connected either.Let it be!!!

They were zip tied close to the perfect pass module, which was the beginning of the issues as perfect pass works only 20% of the time. I was removing the module for some testing when I notice the other wires with very brittle ends due to the way they tried to use the crimp connectors.Let it be!!!

Why are you having to chase wires. What is the issue with the electrical system. It may be a component issue not a wiring issue.www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.
