    2009 RZ2 - Fresh Air Exhaust

We are new to inboards, having previously owned 2 outboard fishing boats. I have read through most of the previous posts on FAE. Has anyone installed a FAE on 2009 RZ2? Does it really cut down the noise that much on the 2009 RZ2 as the engine is supposed to be quieter than previous years and there is only one exhaust port? The engine seems pretty quiet to us? Does anyone have any pics of the FAE on a 2009 RZ2 as there is only one exhaust port. Thanks

Send a PM to ImaPigDog. He installed FAE on his '09 22Ve. I think that they decided the best way to install was to put a dummy exhaust port on the other side to give the FAE another attachment point. I know he worked with FAE to come up with the solution. While the FAE for Correct Craft don't need the dummy port, I think the TAPS plate on Tige led them to develop this approach.

As far as sound, he said it does reduce the exhaust volume. Just not as dramatically as with the Merc or MP engines.

Give me a call. I am the one that help him set it up. I have all the details on it. There is a couple of options. I am a dealer for FAE. We can get you going and get you set up. The biggest benifit you will get is the reduction on CO and in the exhaust smell when standing on the Deck. PM sent with contact info.

SBFAN, can you pm me the contact info as well. I might be interested as well. We've been doing a decent amount of surfing behind the boat and at times the exhaust smell and CO is too much. I'd like to see what's involved.
