Have a 2004 24v with tige tower. Have some weight on it and it has major wobble. I couldn't wobble my supra's tower so I'm thinking I'm going to either have some welding done or swap out for a new one. Anyone know what tower is the best and strongest? Samson? The flight control tower looks solid but don't know if those are nautiques only.

Sent a PM to Ragboy. I think he just got involved with them. At least he can tell you how great his tower is on his 24ve.
Go to wake9.com that is his site.Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

Sorry if I missed a PM. At any time, go to wake9.com and the contact us page. That goes right to my email, and I answer every one.
I am going to do a video in the next couple of days, and a write up on how they are installed. When you see how it is done, their will be no doubt why they don't rattle. The construction and engineering is also the best I have seen in the industry. I love my tower. Have you seen the pics?
Are you anywhere near northern california?http://wake9.com/

Scott at samson has been great to deal w/. I've got some minor sway on my switchblade...and me and scott have been coming up w/ bracket ideas to eliminate it.
The switchblade def. doesn't like my 485's though. LOL. But I'm not sure any tower would really.
If you do the switchblade, loc-tite the hell out of the front feet. I've been battleing w/ my screws backing out and things getting loose up there. Those screws are the key to making that tower rock solid!Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

I didn't do mine the first time b/c those parts were pre-assembled and didn't think I needed to, plus I figured I was gonna get to them after the first use so that I could see what was working loose. Don't do what I did! LOL. The Switchblade install is pretty easy.... Just sucks not having picture instructions. Ragboy's tutorial will help TONS!!!!!! It really is a simple install... the hardest part is assembling the billet legs. But those are easy too, once you figure it out.... just easy to get parts turned around at first. I flipped the driver and passenger side the first time.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

ok. so IMHO the Razor and the Switchblade are definitely the best looking on a larger tige. But there are other options. Here are some pics.
Here is a 22Ve with a razor.
Here is, I think a 24V with a Switchblade.
An older tige with a razor.
Here is a 21i with the Edge, which is MUCH less expensive. $2395. However, it is JUST as easy to raise and lower. It is lighter, so easier, but the razor and switchblade are actually easy to accomplish. Either way, all samson towers are designed for easy fold away.
The 21i still has the same lines as the 24v, so you get the idea.
We are doing free installation right now, but since you are not close, we can ship to you, support you over phone and email, and I can probably do free shipping to offset our free install special. Contact me off list for more about that at robert - at - wake9.com.
Some notes about the towers. You won't find better made towers, there are others that are done well, but I wouldn't say better. And I haven't seen anyone stand behind their stuff like samson. Also, the installation method is engineered very well for maximum strength and long term reliability. I actually sent my installer to Samson's shop in Washington to be thoroughly trained. We just installed an edge tower on friday on a mastercraft and it was rock solid. They are designed to match the rake of your windshield and look factory installed. The samson lights are also fully integrated, and one of my favorite features.
