Help -Transducer, Nav Light and Water in Seat

    Hello Fellow Tige Owners,

I have had a 2000 21i for a few months and am still figuring it all out and would appreciate help with the following issues:

Where is the tranducer for my Hummingbird depth-gauge located? On the bottom/through the hull? It reads appx 10 feet deeper than actual so any ideas how to resolve?

I can't get the main Nav pole light to work. I replaced the "female" base and the wiring appears to be good. I know the bulb is OK because I testing it. Any ideas?

Finally, I had to take the rear back-rest bench out yesterday and it weighed a ton. When I stood it on its end, brown water seeped out. Clearly it is getting loaded and not draining. Anybody else experience this problem? I supposed I could use marine silicone around the back.

Thanks for any and all ideas.

Sounds like you need to reset the "Keel-Offset" setting in the depth gauge. Its a setting that allows you to set the depth reading so you are reading the depth from the lowest point of the boat, like the prop and rudder, rather from where the transducer is mounted.

Turn the light on and probe the terminals with a DVOM (volt/ohm meter) and see 12V's. If not, work your way back to the switch.

Sounds like the plastic cover over the cushion has be breached. Take it to an upholstery shop and have then pull the skin, dry out the cushion, and cover with a new piece of plastic and reinstall skin,

      Thanks

      Thanks for the info.

I am used to having the transducer mounted on the transom. Is it on the bottom of the boat? And if I had to change it out, where does one access? Is it around the motor?

      Thanks again.

I have a 2000 21i and my transducer is a puck mounted behind the motor. Pull the back seat out(the back and the seat part) then about a 2ft. wide piece of the floor will pull up. My flooring piece has a little strap handle to pull at the bottom of the aft storage area(under where you pulled the seat out). You'll see the transducer under there by the prop shaft.
