    Best Day!

For old timers, do you remember the movie "City Slickers" when the boys are riding across the dessert and discussing their best day. Let's talk about best days. I know it is not my absolute best, but the last day and a half has got to be in the top ten. I love golf, boating and atv riding in the summer. Yesterday I started with golf at 6:30am, played a pretty good round for me. Worked for a few hours when my daughter called and said what do you think of going to the lake. I got home at 3:30, left for the lake and was on the water by 4:15, daughter, wife and I all had pretty good boarding runs and I had a good ski run. We were sitting having a couple snacks when my phone rang and a buddy is asking if I want to go night riding out to the knolls, (small dunes west of SLC), I asked the girls if they'd had enough, it was 6:15 and they'd had there fill. We made record time from the far end of the lake (Willard Bay)to home in an hour, switched trailers, grabbed some grub and met the rest of the riding crew at 7:30 in SLC, unloaded at about 9:00 and rode the RZR hard until 1:00. Loaded back up and got home just before 3:00am. When we got back to the trailer I had a text from my wife saying they had enjoyed the lake so much lets go back with her sister in the morning. I got to bed about 3:15 and was up at 6:00 and back on the lake (Pineview) at 7:15. Water was glass for the three of us, wife, daughter and I. We decided to go early before the rest of the family so we wouldn't have share the good stuff and they are not morning people. We spent the rest of the day with her sisters family fighting the crowds with little smirks on our faces knowing how good we had already had it. I know there have been better days, but for me this was one great day. The three hours sleep is catching up to me now and I will definately be needing my Sunday afternoon nap. But at least I will have days like this to dream about. By the way I also got a good round of golf in Thursday morning as well. A great end to a week. For those of you thinking does this guy work, yes to hard usually, and that's what makes this week special.

If you want to duplicate the day, here is the route

My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

Well that is called a great day. What is even better is you have Sunday to recover except for three hours but those three hours will help you recover as well. I get those days once in a while.
