Why do I keep getting an error when trying to watch the videos? I want to watch them but can't for some reason.

Don't take this the wrong way but there is an awful lot of carbon monoxide coming off the back of your boat and that could present an issue if you are surfing back there for any length of time.

Also, I couldn't help but notice when you picked him up that you got close enough to him for him to give you a high five as you passed by him, again, not to create any drama, but that isn't exactly the safest way to collect your rider.

I disagree on both. A properly tuned boat actually puts out little carbon monoxide, but mostly carbon dioxide, the same as what comes out of your lungs. When the engine is not getting enough air is when it can only combine one oxygen molecule with the carbon instead of two and you get the deadly carbon MONOxide. In all the history of the world, there has NEVER been an instance of an upright surfer dying of carbon monoxide poisoning. Given how many millions of people have done it behind crappy boats, it is an incredible non-issue for surfing. Multiple deaths have occurred when lying or holding onto the platform.

I am not worried either about an idle speed pass at a downed rider. The only critical thing, IMO, is to have direct visualization of where the rider is at all times. This would only take a minimal amount of boating experience. You have to be close enough to throw the rider the rope.

I can assure you that Ragboy has a great relationship with his kids. I would venture as far to say better than most on this forum. His life is built around those kids and his wife. He is a great member of the forum and truly cares about everyone. I can understand that not everyone in the world understands that though so I get your point about the wording but there is much more political and more friendly ways to give feed back. My suggestion is for you to try to find them. We all would be much better off and it would not cause hard feeling on here. PM works real good in cases such as this. Take it up with him on a one to one basis not in the forum.

I also would venture to say that if his kids found you blasting there dad like this they would hunt you down.. It is a good thing he does not let them on the forums with their own user names.

I think in the Quest video, my son called me fat, so I threw him in the water. It was fun. I made a point, a long time ago, that when doing this wake9 thing, and the videos we were going to be ourselves. If you come on our boat, and you are welcome, you would find us the same.

Its kinda funny, I was trying to get Larry, my partner in the local shop to do the video stuff. I would tape and edit, and he would be the "spokesman" so to speak. Who wants to see some fat mexican dude behind camera. But Larry doesn't go out like we do, and he doesn't do as well talking behind camera. So I just said, the hell with it, and did it. In the end, I think it works, because there is no doubt that I am not a paid spokesmodel. I am just out there talking about the stuff I love, with the ones I love. I am having a blast, and won't stop unless I stop having fun.

As far as the dork comment, when and where I grew up, "dork" was a term that meant geek, nerd, dufus, nothing more. We do definitely make fun of each other a lot, its our way. I have done it since they were little, for a good reason. My kids have SUPER THICK skins. You can come up to my kids and give them a good burn, and they would just turn to you, give you a fist bump, and say "good one". They won't go crying into their room. I like it that way. But hey, with your kids, you do what you think is best.
