    Finally did it

I finally decided to go after the wake it felt good but man I had to let go as quick as possible because I felt my feet and board go out behind me. It was fun though to finally get off the wake for the first time.

Nice! Nice wake, smooth looking water! Is that the familar signature of a FAE?

Watch that tounge my man. If you hit hard enough you might chomp it clean off.
It is a great feeling to get over the fear of charging at the wake. I never had a problem getting air I just could never clear the wake until one particular day I drank a six pack and got pissed at not clearing the wake. I did finally clear the wake that day but I paid the price dearly with roughly one helacious crash per beer. I was unbelievably sore for about six days which equates equally to six beers and six helacious crashes.

Here is a pic of me a few weeks back on my new 09 CWB Platty trying to get used to it and riding behind my buddies Malibu VTX.

That does not look like it is going to feel good.

Actually that crash did not really hurt. I slid down the wake and just stretched my stomach muscles a bit.
It is the hard core face plants where you don't get the chance to put your hands out that hurt.

I have to say the CWB boards are rockin this year. Who ever says boards and bindings don't matter they really need to try several boards and find out. Boards do matter. I can say so far I love the CWB products and how they ride. I told my wife we need to take here old hyperlite and shred it. It is junk. She hit here first W2W yesterday and landed it. Go figure has to show me up

Great Job! I need to go around 23 mph to be able to cross it on my RZ2. I cross it on a X2 at about 20 mph, the wake in the X2 was a lot smaller.

If 23 seems too fast for you, then you should shorten the rope so that you are jumping a width that is comfortable for you.
