Wakeboard rack bungee cords

I have the Wake Designs racks on my boat that have the black bungee cords for retaining straps. My straps are the ones that get black material all over your hands and boat every time you change out wake boards.
Anyone have any suggestions as far as replacement straps or what can be done to stop the black stuff from getting all over hands and boat.
I went to the Wake Designs web site and they offer replacement straps but the picture is blurry and I can't tell if they are using a different type of material for the bungee cord.
Any info will be appreciated.

They are still available through your Tige dealer and are being made by a different supplier so the black crap issue is gone. 3- yr warranty if you bouught the boat new.

If you do get the bungies from Wake Designs, be aware that the clips that hold the bungies can break lose the bungie. I have not experienced it but I have heard from another TO member that they do break and has popped back and slapped them in the face.

I did order from Wake Designs, I hope I catch a good set and don't get popped. I lived in Sacto in the late 70's (Hiram Johnson High class of 79) Spent a bunch of time rafting the American river and boating at Folsom and Sacto river. My family still live in the area.
