Mirror Bracket

I bought this mirror bracket off of ebay, but I think it is missing a part because how does it attach to the mirror? Any help on the missing piece would be good. The miiror is a CIPA that came with the boat.

Wish I had a picture of mine but your missing the end that the mirror slides on to.

looks like its missing the stainless steel shaft that slides in the end where the set screws are, is there a big hole in the end?

No, there is not a hole in the end.

there should be @ 1/2" hole in the end of the arm (where the 2 allen screws are sticking out) to insert a rod which the mirror attaches to

Yep, you are missing the extension and if I remember right, the dont come separately.

thats probably why they sold it, now at this point all you can do is have a machine shop mill out the correct hole in the end, and buy a stainless shaft to mount mirror to. then give the seller a piece of your mind, because he gave you the shaft without giving you the shaft.
