    seat hight

I would like to put a taller seat pedestal in. I have seen the threads on the adjustable seat hight but I do not need it adjustable. Is it possible to just change the verticle tube that everything sits on?

    Any ideas....

I have the same issue...again. Lol. I just place a throwable seat cushion on the seat, it gives me just the right amount of height that I need. Also it's required by law so it works out perfect.

I dont think they sell just the vertical post. Im pretty sure they compress or weld that base to the vertical, you can imagine the lawsuit if your chair fell over while driving because the post fell out. I just looked up some on ebay and any boat dealer could order one from one of their marine catalogs. Just make sure the floor bolt pattern is the same.

You can buy them at most marine supply stores online. I had to change the height of mine. I doubt you'll find the exact height you want, but you can just buy one higher and cut it down with a hacksaw. The pedastal just mounts to the floor with a set of screws. It's really no big deal and will probably take you 30 min or less.

I raised our seat three inches and what a difference: http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...ight=seat+post
I didn't raise the seat any higher because the wind over the windshield was starting to blow right in your face.
Then, because of the increased leverage the mounting screws pulled out of the floor: http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/show...light=pedestal
I highly recommend using the machine screws with T-nuts versus screws into the plywood floor - rock solid.

Well, let us know what you come up with. I am in the same boat as you and I have the booster seat up 100% of the time.

I have come up with this. With the bolster up it is 9 inches higher and that seemed higher than what I was looking for. The stock pedestal hight is 9 inches I put the throwable doodad on the seat which was 2 1/2 inches and it was more of what I was looking for. So I ordered a 12" pedestal from my dealer yesterday. They also come in a 15" but I think I would have been cutting some off of it.

My 07 22ve had a adjustable factory seat with a gas shock inside worked slick, never needed the bolster. was this not standard?

You can buy just the pole contact harvey at tige tell him the situation and he will sell you one you can cut to height.

I don't know. Maybe they were put on some of the '07's. I wish it were standard then I would not have this problem.

But that is ok, we still love our boat. small detail

How much did that pedestal cost? The seat is the perfect height for me but my wife complains about it being too low.

Cool. Did you just unscrew the existing pedestal? Need to look in to that.
