tige rough water
Our 24ve handles rough water better than our old 20' I/O with the Monster Tower, but probably not as well as big 24' Cobalt or SeaRay Sundeck....however.... my 2 cents:
Rough water will suck for every boat, just maybe a little less on an I/O.
Trimming TAPS on the TIGE to 6-8 really helps. My buddy has a Mailbu 247--great boat, but Ithought the TIGE rode much better in semi-rough water.
But in all other cases, the TIGE or (any vDrive) will win out over an I/0.
After 2 seasons in the 24ve I forgot how much bow rise there are on IO's. Drove a pal's Crownline 21 this past week and was amazed/disconcerted on the rise to get out of the hole--forgot you lost the view of the water below. Also, keeping constant wakeboarding speed on IO iis really hard--it's right where the boat wants to go on plane. You go from 15-23, back to 17... Then in the TIGE Speedset it's like cheating. Having the prop under the boat and the swim platform on the water level is so cool.
Every boat is fun, some are just more fun. This past week we spent at Okoboi Iowa and I put 24 hours on the boat in 6 days in both calm and choppy water and the Tige is the right tool for the job
