    New Boat for Us !

    Hi everyone,

Not new new but new used

Well, my son and I finallized a deal on a 2003 Tige22i. The money goes out tomorrow!!

We're real excited about this boat !! (I'll post a pic soon)

After having a smaller V-Drive I was alittle concerned, but after reading some posts off of this forums I have re-assured myself this is a step forward.

ANY Hints, tips or suggestions for us?

The boat does need board racks, and we need some sacs. Any suggestions on those.

    Thanks for the help

Monster tower makes some pretty nice ones. I like them because they are removable and I do take them off. I went ahead and bought the wall mounts so I can store my boards in the racks when they're attached to the wall.

Sounds like a great boat. The 22i as a pretty roomy boat if you dont mind the DD.

Where are you located? There are a couple of us that can help you with sac, etc.

            Thanks Alot

We are from Canada. Only a deposit has been sent but the seller has no problem waiting until next week. Once we have the boat I will post a few more pics. I just didnt want to post at the moment until we actually have it in our posession. Our passport renewals are not ready until next Wednesday so once we have them were gone to get r.

            1. How is this tower? It is probably just the old standard factory one but I like it better than a few years ago, the one where boards rest up top.

            2. Besides the Monster racks any other ideas?? I noticed when we had a Monster tower on another boat the single clamp style sure bounces and wobbles with 1 or 2 boards on it when hitting a few waves.

            3. I am considering buying Perfect Pass ...any thoughts. All I know is it's not cheap.

            4. For a long time I always have wanted a bimini top.(I guess at my age and less hair I need protection). Is there pre made ones or would I be better off just going to a local shop for a custom made one?

            Thanks for the info everyone

You may be able to find some used ones since Zero Off has come out.

My friend has a used perfect pass from a Nauti220. If its compatible I am sure I can get it for you real cheap.

I had that same tower on my last boat. It is a Metcraft Tower. It had racks on it up top, by the "tige" signs. Kind of a pain in the arse to put boards in and get out of. The monster tower racks would work better. Looks like it is set up for a bimini. The one I had was for Metcraft, and it was very easy to open and close. Nice boat! Congrats!

I have the board racks that go with that tower if you are interested.

I am sure wetsounds can be heard across the lake. I just wanted to make sure you were sure you wanted to hear them at 80 feet. I have heard some say that they have heard wetsounds speakers clear as a bell at 1/4 mile away.

Can't live without the perfect pass now that I have it. Pretty easy install also if you're a little bit handy.

I am going to attempt install it. Is there different PP for different boats. Someone had 1 that was used?
