    Boat Stall, running rough

Ok, after spending the day in the cove yesterday, last night as we were leaving the cove, the boat (2008 22ve) starting running rough. The boat was in gear at trolling speed, and then stalled. After that it would not start, it would turn over fine but would not start. I realized i still had my battery switch on a single battery so I switched to "all". After a couple tries it did start, but was rough. So I put it in neutral started it and quickly gave it some throttle (in neutral). I did that for about 30 seconds and then it seemed fine. So we went back to the marina all while running fine. My water temp was 154 degrees and PSI at 32 (at idle), which I am pretty sure is normal.

Could a low battery of make it act like this? Or should look into something else being wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Did run rough right after you started it or did it start running rough later? If the former, yes, low voltage can affect some engines, especially if you're at idle and the alternator isn't really pushing many amps. If the latter, then not sure.

BTW, if you do run your battery low, don't switch it to ALL, try just switching it to your back-up battery. Once you have the boat going, switch it back so you start charging the battery you ran down.

Thanks for the advice on the battery switching. It started running rough about a minute or two after it was starting, we were very slowly leaving the cove when it happened.

I'd just bump it up a little bit the next time. Once your RPMS go over 1K, you'll get the alternator charging and that should take care of the issue.
