Cup Holder

Hey all,
Well after being out on the Z1 a few times I have a question. After hearing my wife complain about not having a cup holder where she prefers to sit, I was looking at the dash area and thought that might be a good place to add one. Has anyone ever done this before??? I don't want to ruin the dash area with a hole and then no cup holder . It looks like it could be an easy cut and then place in a stainless cup holder, but you never know. Thanks

I put a couple cup holders in the back corners of my 22v a few weeks ago, it was not too bad. How much room do you have to manuever a drill with holesaw or sabre saw under the windshield? As Jasonb stated, a quick shot of the dash where you are thinking would help to bounce ideas off people. I found a good supplier of nice stainless cupholders down here for $10, I know they can get pricey. You might be able to order a factory one from tige since you have a newer model though.

I found a cup holder on Cabelas site that could be mounted to dash and cup would swivel into your knees on my 20V or it could Mount using a velcro strip adapter mounter to windshiedl brace but this way some one would always stick their kiester on it. I found one that swivels side to side using suction cup. I put it on the starboard side were it is not in the way of the throttle and the bottom could set on the armrest vinyl. I put it on in April and is still holding. I went with suction cup mount.
