    It's been a while.

So it has been a while since I have posted much on here. I got back from overseas in March and it has been non-stop around here since. We bought a house just a few weeks after I got back. We got moved in and found that we cannot get highspeed internet out here. So that has been one issue with getting on the forum. Finally someone close has it so I can mooch off of them, but only if I sit in the garage. lol Anywho, after many months of wanting and searching we finally got a new boat. Our first v-drive. Finally! We were waiting to get settled into the house so we could figure out our budget for a boat and man are we glad we did. Our price kept getting lower and lower and lower it seemed. At one point I had given up hope on getting a new boat. After we finally realized our budget and many hours of searching and calling we found a boat. It came down to what fit our budget, availablity, and best bang for our buck. I wanted a good platform to start from. We really wanted another tige but just couldn't find one close enough to convince the wife to drive. So we ended up with a Mastercraft 2001 X-star fully loaded. It's in real good shape and pretty low hours. Full ballast, subs, amps, tower speakers, perfect pass, board racks, and bow filler seat. So far we love it. It does use a lot, and I mean a lot more fuel than our non-weighted tige did but it's ok. The wake is taking some getting used to. That thing is meaty compared to the old boat. Anyways, pics of old and new.

the day we went to trade her in.

Lets see, you trade in a Tige for an MC... Maybe Matt needs to creat another forum called ExTigeOwners.com j/k

Looks like a nice boat. let us know how sea worthy it is when you have the chance.

I rode in a 2001 XStar on Tuesday. I really liked the wake, even though it was a little small. We had ballast full and 7 people in the boat at 25 MPH. It was a real nice transition to it and its a very clean wake.
