    boat/trailer length

can anyone tell me what there 21' or 22' boat measures on the trailer? From tip of trailer tongue to back of teak deck and then width of what ever is sticking out the most?
Trying to see if a boat would even fit in my garage?

    Thanks

There are a lot of variables to this.

My RZ2 with DHM trailer is appx 24 feet with swim platform attached. Remove the swim platform and the boat is 22' 9" with TAPS plate and trailer

        what's your boat length?
OK, but is removing the swim platform that easy? I'd rather just figure the length as is and not have to worry about unbolting and bolting the swim platform all the time..

My 22i is 26' from the the brake in the swing tounge to the swim deck. The width not sure but I have to take off the guide polls and racks to fit in a 9' wide garage door.

so I take it removing the swim platform is some sort of quick release deal and something that can be done in seconds?? I have not seen these boats yet, going out tomorrow to start looking..

It can be done by one person but IMO, not the easiest of tasks. There is two pins and a bracket holding the platform to the boat.

Removing the platofrm every time would be a total PITA. If you only have to do it on occasion, probably not that big of a deal. You'll have 2-3 pins to pull then it just lift off.

My 20V fits in my garage with a good 4' to spare, my garage is 26' deep.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

He's looking at older boats and the swim platform is not quite as long as on the newer boats.

My 20V/SwitchV is 20'3" if you remove the platform, and swing the tongue in.

So, you are saying that your TAPS plate is only 3"?

Nope, the taps plate is 8" or 9". My transom sticks out, kinda like an upside down step, and the taps plate is receded below that.

jason - I have to remove the platform, one of the side guides, and drop the tower. I then have to use a tube of KY to get it in. My garage is 20' long, I had to modify the back wall and build a box so the TAPS plate wouldn't run into my drywall. It now goes into the box inside of the wall. It's a real PITA, but it's nice having the boat where I can get to it and work on it, and don't have to pay for storage too.
