Topac to Havasu in a 24Ve? New Tige owner.

Hi, new to these forums, just got my new 07 24Ve last week. Planning a trip to Topac Gorge next week (friend has a house there), and wondering how sketchy it is to make the trip from Topac to Havasu. I know in the past the water levels have been low, and the last thing I need to do is wipe out the drive on a new boat. I called Topac Marina, and the girl there said it's no problem right now, but I'd like to get some feedback from some Tige owners who might have an opinion about this. Thanks in advance.

Should be no problem. I do the trip probably everytime I'm out there in my 24V The river mouth can be shallow in areas. The mouth is split in the middle by an island with a lot of reeds. If you are headed north to topock you want to go up the right side of the split but hug the reeds. Use this path on the way back too. It is the deepest channel through there and is usually between 5 and 10 feet deep. It will be pretty obvious where to go when you are out there, most people take this path through the river mouth so just watch other people. After you make it through the river mouth you will have no problems going up to topock.

Just made the trip twice last week. Never a problem. It does get shallow at the mouth in some areas but its easy to judge by the water color where the deeper spots are.

We have a hidden rule on Tige Owners for new boat owners. You can not post with out posting a pic of the new boat.

Anyways congrats and hope to see pics soon. Welcome to the forum. You will find a ton of info here for your boating needs.

No problem at all...we do it in the RZ4 all the time as well.

          You should be good.

          Now lets see some pics!

Thanks for the info guys. Really looking forward to this trip, aside from all the money I've spent getting things together for the boat (3,000.00 !!!). Good to know that I shouldn't have any problems as far as the depth goes, now I just need to learn how to drive a boat. I'll be taking some pics this weekend, and I'll post em next week. Had the first stage of the stereo installed, and picking it up tonight. 2 pairs of Wet Sounds XS-650, 2-JL Audio 10" subs, 2-Alpine PDX amps, & the Wet Sounds 420 EQ. Also added a second battery. Thanks again.

              The obligatory!
