    New Wakeboard Photo-Thanks SPBFAN

I Promissed a photo of my daughters new wakeboard in action. It's been a dificult task to do it this week. First, My wife dropped the digital camera in the lake prior to taking the photo. Luckily, we were able to grab the camera and dry it out. Believe it or not the camera fully submerged, and it still works. Then, by the time we could go out and take the photo, the battery was dying. We managed to get a couple photos.
Lastly, the computer crashed, so it's been dificult to get the photo up to the website.
All that being said, my daughter loved the board. She got up on the first try, and wakeboarded many times over the wekend.
Thanks again to SPBFAN for helping us aquire the board

          Congrats!

FYI...if you drop something in water (phone, camera, etc...) put in a closed container of rice. The rice will absorb the moisture and dry it out quicker.

Ditto on the rice in a container idea...it works. My son accidently put his cell phone thru the washing machine (left in pants)...twice! take the battery out and open it up as much as possible, then leave in the the rice for 3 days to a week. We've salvaged two cell phones and a game boy that fell in a pool with this method.

The most important part is taking the battery out so that nothing shorts out.

Looking Good! Is that Lake San Antonio? Is the water still pretty cold? Hows the level of Naci (I was out there last year and I've never ever seen it as low as it was).

It is Lake San Antonio, The water is very tolerable, I'm guessing low 70's. I think San Antonio is around 40% full, and Naci is lower. I haven't seen Nac this year, but I hear it's not looking to good.

I heard NACI was getting dumped for dam maintenance. My friend was there two weeks ago with his Malibu, hit a unmarked rock in the now wake zone and it was crashed up pretty good. He said the lake was very very low. He does not want to go back after that experience and that was his first experience with that lake.

What a bummer!!!! I don't blame him. Naci is an awesome lake when there is water in it. Heading back to San Antonio this weekend. I'll post an update on that lake. Good luck to your friend repairing his Malibu.
P.S. You are welcome to catch a ride with us as well!
