Ballast issues

My aft port ballast doesn't seem to be filling. The other 3 work fine. Any ideas on how to track down the problem?

Have you checked the pump to see if the impeller is still in one piece?

Have you tried to turn the pump on and put the boat into reverse to see if the ballast tank fills?

No. I just bought the boat. What does the reverse do for you and is there plug on the tank somewhere?

Putting the boat into reverse forces the water into the pickups of the ballast tank.

Lets start with, what year boat model do you have? I am assuming a 2007 or 2008 year.

I would try putting the boat into reverse. Tige ballast systems have had issues with air pockets getting into the lines and the pump not having the ability to continue to suck the water into the lines. But, I would do that once you locate the pump and verify that your impeller is in a good condition. If the impeller is tore up, that thing is just spinning around and around doing nothing.
