request suggestions for Table Rock, Bull Shoals, Norfolk

We would like to take a trip to Table Rock, Bull Shoals, or Norfolk later this summer.

Probably interested in at least three bedroom place on water. Would probably rent a pontoon in addition to our RZ2. Interested in nice riding spot suggestions too.

Can anyone recommend places they are familiar with in that area?

Thanks in advance for any feedback!

I've lived on T-Rock for 27 years, shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to help any way I can.

Trock- we stayed at Stillwater Resort. Its more of a condo type place and nice but little pricey.

Bull Shoals we have been two twice. One place is not even worth mentioning and the other is Black Oak Resort. This isnt bad, but its far from any town but the owners are super nice.

Norfork we have been two twice as well. I strongly recommend Teal Point resort. This is by far the most "finished" resort that we have been to. Nice landscaping, well kept, they really keep the place clean and its a very nice. They even had people cleaning the spiderwebs off the docks in the morning. The best part about Teal point is its right down the road from Mountain Home, which has whatever you need. Wal-mart, Restaurants, home depot, Oreily's.... etc. The other place, where we stayed this year was Fish and Fiddle which was nice as well. Its located more towards the dam, teal point is farther away. Its not as nice as teal point but the owners are nice and their son is a big time skier.

Best part about Norfork is there is beaches down by the dam right by Jordan Marina. Unfortanetely the main "sand island" was under water both times we came down but this year we were able to find a nice sand spot tucked behind some trees and we ate lunch and played wiffle ball.

All three are great though. All have cyrstal clear water. Table rock will be the busiest especially on the weekends. Bull Shoals is the biggest (bigger than Norfork but maybe not trock) but norfork has beaches and our favorite resort.

If you want more info or pics from some of our trips give me a PM.

Oh BTW, for these lakes (maybe the exception of Trock) there is no such thing as "on the water"

As Zad said most of the resorts are not at waters edge. Both Bullshoals and Norfork you drive down to dock. We have been at the same resorts as Zad has been at.

All of all the lakes are great but Tablerock is getting a little busy and in my opinion Bullshoal and Norfork can't be beat for finding glass. Norfork is closer to tow but 30 miles from BlackOak is do-able.

It is kind of late in season to make a reservation but I know of an August opening at Black Oak. I am sure you can find others but Black Oak allows dogs(we had my five last year) and as a family a few years ago it was 9 of which 7 where labs. Cabin 6 has great view of lake.

Send me a PM and I can get you more info. My Sister and Brother in law had it reserved but because my boneheaded brother in law crashed a dirt bike last weekend they won't need cottage since he will be in cast for 10 weeks as of today.

In my opinion as a boater who has been going down there every year for the last 16 and 5 years as a kid for the midwest these lakes cannot be beat.

Table Rock is our regular weekend spot (45 minute drive) but we have rented many lake houses there for vacations and holidays over the years. The one we rented a few weeks ago was a 5 bedroom (all king beds) on the water with a lift equipped slip in a new dock. For vacation over the 4th of July we rented a house at Beaver Lake (feeds into Table Rock) for a change.
