    Loud Rattling Swim Platform

    We have a 08 RZ2. We love everything about it. I am anal when it comes to noises and rattles in my cars and other toys.
    The swim platform rattles so loud, at first I thought there was something wrong with the engine. It is extremely annoying. The only time I do not hear it is when someone stands on it or I am going fast.

    Has anybody had the same problem?

    If so what did you do to fix it?

    Do the 09s have the same problem?

    Help!!!

    I have not had any issues with my swim platform. I have had both the 08 version and the new 09 which is currently on my boat.
    If its not fun, Why do it?

      Check the mounts for it. It's removable and sometimes there's some play in the mounting brackets. You may be able to shim something up to keep it from rattling.

        Just for your own personal use, "anal" refers to the--well, you know...
        ANILE-- means to be picky. Small spelling difference but HUGE inferential difference!!
        Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

          'Anal' used in this instance is a shortcut to anal retentive. Pretty much the same meaning...fastidiously picky.

              All of the 09 product should have 2 1/4x20 1 1/4" hex head cap screws, the bottom of the mount has been tapped through the old drain hole allowing you to use the set screws to put pressure on the pin eliminating the rattle. On the 08 you need to get a 1/4x20 tap remove the swim platform and tap the drian hole in the mount on the boat drill another drain hole about an inch from the old one. Replace swimplatform coat bolt with water proof lube such as tefgel and tighten until rattle stops.

                Might not be the swim platform entirely. I know that my RZ2 and the doors to the bins on the activity center didn't have any cushions between the door and the gelcoat. That caused the doors to bump against each other.
