    97 PRE Pole Light

I am looking for a pole light for my '97 PRE. TIGE tried to cross reference it, but ended up sending me the wrong one. Local dealer says that is all they can do. As I don't know what the end connection looks like, I cannot easily source. I can always change the socket out if all else fails, but that is more money. Anyone have a brand or part number I can use to search? The socket looks like the pole should have a step in the end of it to allign it with the pins. There is no slot in the socket for a side pin. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

These are pretty standard and you should be able to get them from places like Overtons or West Marine. You just have to decide how long the pole needs to be.

just remember on that boat... If you have bimini, then the light will more than likely be too tall for the bimini. If you could, I would rewire to the top of the tower and get rid of the current position next to the steering wheel. Not a good place IMO
If its not fun, Why do it?

Very good point! I was just about to order a bimini for my monster tower. Looks like Monster sells a light for the top of the tower for $35....Sold!

          Excellent advice once again!

That's what I did. Works great. You can just splice into your existing light wires, just in case you need a back-up light. I still have my old one just in case.
