    Taps Fire on 21i

First off the boat is a 2001 21i, I have had it for a little over 2 years now and haven't had a lot of major issues with it. Over memorial day weekend I was at Lake Powell and the boat had ran great all weekend. I was pulling off Monday afternoon and had just gotten into the no wake zone at the bullfrog boat ramp when I smelt something burning. I looked down and underneath my dash smoke was pouring out. I turned off the boat, all my accessory switches and the batteries, and grabbed the extinguisher right away. When the smoke cleared I looked under the dash and the relay that goes to the taps system was very hot and still smoking. I didn't want to deal with it then so I got a tow into the dock. When I got back home I reset the master circuit breaker and it started smoking right away. I disconnected the power going into the relay and used the boat this last weekend without taps. Has anyone had this happen or heard of this happening, and what could be the cause. Also what all parts do I need to replace.

I've never heard of anything like that. That is scary! It's to bad it happened at all, but at least it happened at the end of the weekend and close to the ramp.

    Keep us informed.
