Has anyone considered if something breaks? You are going to need a certified technican to repair it. I personally repair hybrid cars and before every service procedure reads: Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury or death. There are many safety precautions to take but be darn sure you dont forget one.(330 volts DC).

It would be interesting to see the specs for this boat from a mechanical standpoint.

Not for me thanks, I like the throaty sound of my V-8.
    Bad decisions make good stories.

I see what you are saying about having a technican, but eventually everthing is going to be ran by electric motors so a reagular mechanic will eventually be able to work on it, and the V-8 will be the thing of the past. It takes one step at a time to change to different technology. They don't necssery need the batteries either they can just take a small motor and use it as a generator to give the electric motor power. It is a lot more effiecient to use the electricity off the motor instead of runing it thru a bunch of gears to get the same out come.
The epic's electric drive system is not that complcated you just can't be intimitaded by it.
