Heatercraft 3 Vent, replaced core - no heat

So my dealer forgot to winterize my 22Ve's Heatercraft 3 Vent heater in the fall, and in the spring = cracked core/flood. Since I live 250 miles away, they wouldn't cover the cost of a new core unless I towed the boat back to them(to prove that the engine hours matched). Needless to say, that had me plenty irked - but I paid "cost" for a new core anyways, not feeling like $90 was enough to argue about. They sent it and I installed in the exact same configuration as before. Problem being, the unit never blows hot air-just blows cool air? Has anyone ever encountered this? Hydronic heat seems simple enough, so the only thing I can think of is the water isn't heating up, but even after running the boat all day, still no hot air and the engine isn't overheating.

Any advice is welcome - thanks!

Check the hose to the engine...perhaps there's a gate valve that's been shut off.

Good idea; one that had crossed my mind before, but since the cracked core had filled my boat/bilge with water I had figured there wasn't one. I will check for one this weekend. Thanks

Did I mention the dealer also broke the output housing of the bilge while replacing my engine (engine replaced under warranty, thrown rod after 80 hours)? Good thing we had a pump and squirt water gun to bail with.

I'd also check to make sure there isn't any blockage or that your hose isn't kinked somewhere. Check the return also...it could be that it's blocked somehow.

As for your bilge pump, I always make sure mine's working periodically and I check everything the dealer did. Last time they left my plug below the V-Drive out (the older 21v has a plug in the transom and one at the lowest level of the Convex V hull (right below the V-Drive). It's not something you would notice and it would have been a bad deal if I launched that way because the faster you go, the more water would be forced up in there.
