          The Solution

Here's the solution, and its only $10...
          http://www.overtons.com/modperl/prod...ID=1008&r=view

Looks like its got a butterfly valve that only opens one direction, I'm sure its not water tight, but it will save you leaps and bounds of time to get the plug in.

That's pretty slick. My Rinker actually had a cable attached to the oil drain hose that the drain plug was then attached to so the drain plug was always right there! The cable was handy because you pulled the drain plug and then just kept pulling and the oil drain hose came out.

I would suggest just removing the bilge pump all together and try same same experiement agian. Then go home and take 3 Propofol and get a good nights rest.

I personally launched the boat; heard the bilge pump start gurgling; my friend that launched me was coming back and I yelled back to him to retrieve the trailer; and proceeded to drive around at 5 mph before loading the boat back onto the trailer. The water never reached the engine, was above the steering wheel cable/rudder levers, and the bilge pump does work.

However, I am seriously considering putting a 8000 GPH pump into the boat now just because the 500 GHP pump that Tige provides wasn't sufficent enough to stay up with the amount of water being drawn into the boat.

              So, what would you do?

Geez, I'm confused. I'm not sure what a "haul" plug is.

Well, how about you go ahead and plan that for your boat and let me know. Maybe one day you will understand how to act on a forum and socialize where people won't dislike you becuase you are a tool.

Wishing people to sink their boat isn't the brightest ideas you have. Maybe you should take some of your medical equipment on your boat and use it as an anchor. Then go ahead and try and sell that stuff to the medical facilities and see how well your business does afterwards.

                          Haul??? Don't you mean HULL?
                          Pale??? Don't you mean Pal?
                          Whole??? Don't you mean Hole?

And you call yourself a small business owner. Guys, we have an educated one here.

If it happens again, put that baby in the bilge and jump out and put your plug in the water.

1200 Gph is a lot of water...way more than what you'll take on without a plug.
Agree with dogbert. For those with fat sacks the pumps will do double duty.

About two weeks ago I had my boat out at Cultus Lake, BC. A huge downpour like I've never seen started with my boat sitting out on the lake.

It was coming down so hard the bilge pump couldn't handle it so I just stuck my Tsunami pump in there and it emptied in no time at all.
