Why my daughter did not go boating this weekend!!!

I had to have a boating related topic. I am a very proud papa.

My daughter and her friend flew to Dallas on Friday to try out for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Their goal was to make the first cut on Saturday and come back on Sunday.

Per the newspaper 700 girls tried out. I got called Saturday night both my daughter and her friend made the cut on Saturday. I beleive 110 girls made it to Sunday. Sunday afternoon while on the lake I got a call from my daughter. They did not do well on Sunday. I asked her when the offical results were to be posted and she said in a few hours. Well a few hours later she called and both her and her friend made the cut. She thinks about 50 girls made it. Next week they are flying back to Dallas for the individual interviews and more tryouts. The existing Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders have to go through the tryouts so about a total of 80-90 people to be cut down to 45 by Sunday night. The remaining 45 start bootcamp on That monday to be cut down to the 35 who make the squad. So far so good.

Wow! I watched the tryout show for the Cowboy cheerleaders a couple years ago. It's an amazingly difficult process! You should be very proud. As I'm sure you are.

Side note: the women who run that deal are...hmm how shall we say....not nice.
2: your daughter and her friend are incredibly hot! ( assuming by the level of hotness they recruit). Again congrats!
3: the interview process seems to deal heavily on the personailty part all smiles in the face of adversity, and emphasis on really wanting to be a cowboy cheerleader.

I hope they do well, it could be a huge career boost!

Thanks all. They definately will be on the TV show. How much depends on how they do next week. Most of the show deals with the boot camp for the finalists but the 1st few shows are the open auditions. Its been a great experience for them so far.

Could we possibly have a new Tige model in the works at least?
