Major Exhaust leak ... kind of design flaw

So I've been trying to track down a major leak and I had thought it was in my exhaust hoses attaching the muffler to the riser. Well those weren't it, although they were leaking slightly. Finallyyyyyy found a major leak on the back of the muffler. It's from the grab handle bolt coming through and poking a hole in the fiberglass muffler. My muffler kind of moves around and doesn't have any type of support to lock it in place. And there's no protection from the bolt. Def. not a good design.

So check em out on your boats and make sure you don't have any potential problems in the future guys

Good find. If the clamps where loose, as indicated from the small leak found, the muffler asm may have slid back a little and made contact with the grab bar stud. May need to loosen them up and make sure everything is fully seated then re-tighten the clamps.

pull the grab bar, cut 1/4" off the stud(s), reinstall, fixed.

Well the clamps weren't loose. The leak was from the ends blowing out last year when my freeze plug fell out on the 4th. We had the slide the hoses back further onto the muffler.

But def. was planning on pulling the grab bar, once I yank the muffler. IF it'll come out easily. I really don't wanna try and re-glass or epoxy that sucker while it's installed.
