    Adjustable height pedastal

I found this on ebay and think this is exactly what I want for my vision air seat for my 2002 21v. The stock pedastal is too low, and the flip up bolster is not as good on this seat as the aveneir. Do I have this much cleance under the deck??? IT says I need 6 inches. But the gas cylinder up down I think is ideal. Anyone tried this???

Had a short post installed on our '07 rz4 upon delivery. Told dealer (Tige Watersports - Corona) it was too short for almost anyone to use without the bolster up. They concurred and replaced it with a gas adjustable one similar if not identical to the one you're looking at. Top mount swivel broke less than 1 yr old. Dealer couldn't / wouldn't get replacement parts. Said they had problems with other units. We used it only on the highest adjustment anyway, (setting it lower was too low for anybody normally driving). They warranty replaced it with a solid mount post. It is much more stable than the adjustable one. So no complaints about the non adjustable post replacement. I would suggest getting only a longer post.

I have an adjustable pedestal that was an option from Tige. It raises the seat 3-4 inches which is great for my better half. She does not like looking thru the windshield so when she drives I raise the seat for her.

One thing I can say about it is that it is a PITA to get to the lever to adjust height. It is on the starboard side of the seat and is hard as heck to get to unless you move seat forward and rotate seat until you can reach the handle.

I looked up what the height adjustable seat base from Tige was and the list price ran $250.00 from Tige. If I ordered a boat vs. buying a dealer build like I did I would order the base. It beats the heck out my wife stacking throw cushions on the seat which she did with our previous boat.

I bought a manually adjustable pedestal since 90% of the time I am the driver. It has worked out well for me.
        Let it be!!!
