BEWARE: Suction cup flag holder

Hey guys thought I'd give you a heads up. I was out on Lake Oroville, CA last weekend, 100 degrees, plus. We stuck the 3" diameter flag holder suction cup to the front drivers side window while swimming around, when all of a sudden my boy saw smoke coming from the dash. Burned a quarter size hole right through the vinyl. It acted just like a magnifiying glass. any good suggestions on a better flag holder? and does tige have replacement colored dash vinyl?

Wow does that ever suck! We use the suction cup one also and have for years but we always use it on the side window. I am looking for one that can be used on the tower because with the tower and boards or skis in the racks the flag starts becoming hard to see thru the tower clutter.

We have used this tower setup from Airhead Kwik Tek for 2 seasons and love it.
Amazon has the tower holder, FWT-1, for $45.
They make a new bimini holder, FBT-1, that looks interesting (Amazon - $10).

I just put the flag in one of the boots of a wakeboard.
