    Tige 22 V questions

It appears the tower that comes with it the wakeboards completley block the side views due to how low the racks are, anyone confirm this?

I am interested in burnt orange but the decal has red in it, any way to get that red a differnt color?

How long does it usually take to get a boat custom built?

Is the 315 HP enough if I'll have the ballast +1000 more #? Is the upgrade to the 325 even going to be noticable? thats like 10 HP.

THanks ahead of time for any questions you can answer.

i have a 21i and its not but 4 inches shorter and not but 65lbs lighter, i have the 315 and it more than enough power when i load up, load is about 1500lbs includes driver and one more person. i could still put a lot more and be fine.

rather than upgrade the engine, you can upgrade the v-drive and get the gear reduction unit. Our tige rep from the ski dock has that and the 315 motor....with ballast and people, we have no power issues what so ever.

Get the Syncrotech gear reduction and repitch your prop. I run over 2k of ballast with no problem on the 315.

Do you have the internal ballast system or do you fill up 2k in sacs?

I have a custom Rival Industries ballast system. 5 separate bags, 5 individual switches, almost 2k in weight that can fill and drain in 5 minutes. www.rivalindustry.com. It is one of the best features on my boat and is right up there with Perfect Pass for the best option.

Who installed that for you? If you did it yourself, how long did it take, if you didnt, how much did it cost you to have it done?

2 of us did it. It wasn't fun, but turned out to be a labor of love at the end. It took all in all probably 3 nights of work with probably 15 hours invested in it. There were 2 of us working on it. Drilling holes in the side of the boat and the bottom of the boat wre the scary parts, but it worked out perfectly.

We installed a custom switch panel in the recessed area right by the throttle where all 5 switches are mounted. We also bought 5 switches from Tige so they all look stock on there and match everything on the dash. I'll post pics soon.

did u void the warranty drilling the holes in the side and bottom of the boat?

No, not at all. The 5th bag in the walkway might be another matter, but mine is a 2003 and there are no stringers in there. It did not affect the structural integrity of the boat at all.

                      simba,
there is also a rack mount high on the tower which would move the boards out of your side view on the 04 towers.
It took my boat about 6-8weeks for delivery that I ordered last year.

Another option is go with a reverse tower. Before I ordered, I demoed one and couldn't believe the difference. Your view is so open, I was surprized and impressed. And with the tower mount next to the hatches, it is easy to stand on the platform and take your boards on and off.

I still like the traditional tower looks better, but ordered the reverse due to function. With my current tower, it is a pain to get boards on and off with the bimini up. No problem with the reverse tower. Also I'm getting a longer bimini, for better coverage- not as easy with the old style.

Just another option and something to think about.

yeah, although some of them look slick, and some of them look goofy. I havent been really impressed with the reverse towers in the Tigé ads. There was one in the 2003 catalog. Oddly enough, there's a variation of the "2nd gen" 04 tower with the racks up top in the 2003 catalog. I believe it's on the 22v Limited, but I'm not sure. Noticed that last night when I was drooling... again.
