Are you guys using check valves with this sac? I have noticed that my sacs are leaking out the drain thru-hull in the side of the boat while riding. Obviously the top of the sac is higher than the thru-hull and the lean of the boat is causing the sac to leak out.
What types are thru-hulls are the best and dont restrict flow?
FYI- I am using 1" hose and tsunami T-800's for the drain pumps.

Be sure to run the riser loop of the drain and vent at the top of the bulkhead to the engine compartment (running along the gunnel not high enough).
I notice that once a riser loop gets some water in it, it seems impossible for it to clear once a siphon starts. I have tried draining down the sack a bit to allow the riser to clear then refilling. Hit and miss with success.

1. Run the drain lines to the opposite side of the boat, port would drain out the starboard side and vice versa.

I'm not sure if this would work for you I have seperate drain and vent thru-hulls. The other thing I havent thought of is how will this affect the drain times having to travel farther.

I was looking at mine this past weekend and I don't see how I can get my drain line higher with the location of the thru hull. When the boat is fully weighted, the corner is so low that the top of the bag is dang near as high the lowered corner. I guess I could leave the vent line hooked up to the current one and put in a new one towards the front of the boat but I would rather not do that. It is what it is, not affecting the wave too drastically so I will probably just leave it.

I wish you guys where closer so I could help trouble-shoot with you.
Are you able to confirm that it is draining from the drain line and/or vent line......and not back out the fill line, which would be plausible with that amount of water weight and an aerator pump. A check-valve in the fill line would cure this, but to put a c/v in the vent and drain (oriented in the correct direction) in theory, would not stop the unwanted draining. Reason being, the water is traveling out in the right direction, just not at the right time. If we installed the c/v in a way that it stopped the unwanted flow, it would also stop the wanted flow. Again, this is theory, but then again, adding a bit of resistance from the correctly oriented c/v, just may do the trick.

I can say in my situation it is the drain hole as I do not have my fill lines hooked in yet. If the bag is full it will leak when just sitting at idle. I was able to run the starboard side 2 or so inches higher but I dont think that will do the trick. Port side is as high as it will go. My lines go from the back wall straight up to the thru-hull and with the amount of lean I dont think I could ever get it high enough.
