    Booms,

do some searching on here about the RZ2 platform causing problems with the surf wave. The platform is too wide and cuts up the wave.

Thanks for the info. I think I will go with a Bow Sac and the v-drive sacs. I ride goofy while everyone else rides reg. Instead of going custom should I get another set of v-drive sacs to fill when surfing or will the single set be enough? How should I fill all these sacs?

Tough call, kinda depends on how much wake you want and whether or not you want sacs on the seats or in the floor. 2 V-drive sacs stacked on one side in the rear storage locker will give you a nice surf wake, but only you can say if it's what you're looking for.

I do agree that the squared-off platform on the RZ does create a secondary lip in the surf wake, so knowing this, what's you thoughts on the ballast setup?

So if the platform is too wide then less weight is needed for surfing and I should just focus on the placement of the wieght? Some in the bow and a 400# on the surf side?

Some people are bothered by the seconady lip, others dont care, just need to see for your self. I'd say for surfing - no weight up front, and both 400#'s + peeps on the surf side, TAPS about 3-4, speed = 11 is a great starting point for the RZ2.

Thanks for the info. Now I have to buy the sacs. I pick my boat up on May 1st. This will give time to decide if I want to go manual fill or automatic.

manual fill sounds good at first. you will want it automatic after doing it for a while
If its not fun, Why do it?

I used to own a 2000 Toyota X22. I had a auto sac in the trunk and two manual sacs. I hated filling the manual sacs just to Wakeboard and surf. I am thinking I will install a automatic system for the bow and two v-drive sacs then manual on the surf sac that I will move from side to side based on goofy or reggy. Now I am thinking of calling Do It Again Sports and seeing if they have any used 45# weights and move those from side to side.

I just received this in the mail today. This sac is HUGE! I set the board next to it to show it's size.

Here is a picture of it in the boat. I can't wait to get the boat out and test this thing, it should make an enourmous wave!

The green line shows how far the sac continues up the boat.
