22Ve/RZ2 Custom Surf sac

With the collaboration of about 3-4 TO's we came up with a 1,000lb custom surf sac that should fit in either the port or starboard side of the 22Ve and RZ2. Dan got this sac and I cant wait to see some pics with it installed and filled and get some feedback on how it fits. It's got 3 fittings - filling, draining, vent, like most of the Fly High sacs so it can be used with either the reversible or aerator pump systems.

What's the total length on that sac? I need one for my starboard side but I have a heater output near the end of the space so I might need to take some length off the end to make it fit. I beleive I only have 60" from the back wall to the heater. How much are they?

Total length is 83" There would probably not be much cost diff in losing a few inches of the end of the leg. you could just fold under the extra length, may only lose about 25lbs or so.

Just for referance, Fly High quoted EKS $430.00 for the sac as a retail customer and they dont include caps/fittings. As a dealer, they dont give us too much of a break on the custom stuff.

For a manual-fill system, you cant beat the W709 Tsunami pumps @ 1200gph! For a built in automated set up, you can go with either the same Tsunami 1200gph (less the included hose, ACC plug and quick-connect) or the W610-P Jabsco reversible Ballast Puppies.

First time Tige owner and first post! I just bought a 08 RZ2. It is loaded except for the factory ballast. I have looked over most of the ballast posts but still have questions. I am looking for a surf wake first and a wakeboarding wake secondly. What bags should I get that will fit? Should I get two of these bags even though they are pricey? Or should I get a pair of other Fly High sacs? I am thinking of getting one pump to do a manual fill system for now.

Welcome to the site, congrats!

It really depends on what you want out of the wake and what your skill level is.

For boarding the RZ has a petty decent wakeboard wake right out of the box. If you add weight, you need to add some upfront as well. A W711 Bow sac is a great fit for the front holding about 650#'s, and a pair W701 V-drive sacs in the rear fit great holding 400#'s each. For surfing, you can drop one 400#'r on the other for about 700#'s of ballast on your surf side and the wake will be very nice. If surfing is you primary goal, with boarding 2nd, a single custom surf sac would eb the way to go.

If you want a great wakeboard wake and a sweet surf wake, go with a custom surf in one side, a 400 in the other, a bow sac for the front, and the 2nd 400 in the walk way.

My best advice, give the stock wakeboard wake a try, you just might be happy with it, but you will want to add weight for surfing (unless you have 6-8 peeps along all the time).
